Today I’m giving you Part 2 of my post-op recovery tips for Lyme Disease Warriors starting with one of my personal favorite tips. (If you recall, about a month ago I had shoulder surgery, and I’ve learned a few tactics for healing and recovering WELL along the way, even in the face of Lyme disease.)
So getting back to it….
4 - Comfort is a priority! This is a great time to take extra comfort measures for yourself. If you can, splurge on some even - a new fuzzy blanket, the perfect pair of slippers, a heating pad, etc. Sometimes just one cozy item can make recovery feel that much more luxurious and comfortable. Don’t underestimate this one!
5 - Adjust agendas and priorities! Now is the time to pull out all the flexibility that you can muster. It’s temporary but necessary. Priorities must usually shift around the time of surgery and afterward, and that means agendas are shifting too. I recommend clearing EXTRA off of your agenda actually, but it’s better to have MORE downtime built in than you think you’ll need.
6 - Utilize alternative options for your recovery as needed! The world of essential oils, CBD, Zyto scanning and more has SAVED me numerous times in my healing journey, post-op included! My pain was better managed, my mind in a better space, my side effects better controlled, and more by utilizing these alternative options. They are GREAT tools for healing always, but should NOT be discounted during recovery/post-op periods!
Surgical recovery with Lyme disease CAN be seamless and even a healing experience overall. I vote that for YOU!
