4 Basic Detox Pathways Explained

As always, I’m not here as a provider to treat, diagnose, or cure anything at all! Just sharing what I’ve learned about healing along the way in the event that it helps you too!

People comment all the time on my energy levels and vitality. It’s not a lie or a facade I put on. I legitimately feel GOOD, with real energy and optimal health while I’m also treating my Lyme and healing my body.

It’s not because of a magic pill or miracle herb.

It’s actually largely due to something my body is designed to do all on its own.

A LARGE part of my overall wellness and spunk stems from my body's ability to DETOX out the crap that weighs me down. And this is true for you too!

Sometimes our detoxification pathways in our bodies need some support to do their best work for us. Let me tell ya the simplest, down-and-dirty way I approach this necessary healing topic.

So much of our health is based on our body’s ability to not just kill off or beat out the “bad guys” and “junk,” but also to ELIMINATE or detoxify from the results of that killing and breaking down. Lyme warriors know this well, as we who are treating are constantly working on killing off the Lyme spirochete and other coinfections. Our immune systems are working in high gear to optimize our health.

Our bodies also have a natural detoxification happening all the time. As cells die off through natural means, damaged cells are discarded, our toxic burden is turned over internally, heavy metals are purged, etc, etc, our amazing bodies are always doing their jobs to eliminate the crud and junk so that the “good guys” can flourish and nourish.

I think of detox as starting with 4 basic pathways - or elimination systems - within our bodies. Pretty much all detox I can think of goes through one or more of these pathways, so therefore, optimizing each of them is CRUCIAL to optimized wellness.

The 4 Main Pathways Are:

1. Pee

2. Poo

3. Sweat

4. Lymph

It really is that simple!

Urinate frequently and hydrate effectively.

Move your bowels 2-3x/day with formed, soft stools.

Sweat regularly.

Keep your lymphatic system moving lymph fluid and avoid stagnancy.

Now just HOW can we simply and effectively achieve high functioning detox pathways??
